How It Works
Our Carpet Recycling Process
Every load we receive is sorted, classified, and routed to the right downstream partner. The result: zero landfill, maximum material recovery, and a fully traceable supply chain for every tonne of carpet waste.
The Four Steps
From Collection to Circular Recovery.
01
Collection & Delivery
Carpet waste collected from HWRCs, commercial fitters, construction sites, and MRFs across London — or dropped directly at our Edmonton facility.
02
Sorting & Classification
Every load meticulously sorted into four material categories — each assigned to the correct downstream route for maximum recovery and zero landfill.
03
Processing & Baling
PP carpet baled and dispatched to Innovate Recycle. Underlay to Ball & Young. Secondary fuel carpet shredded to 40mm and baled for export as SRF.
04
Sustainable Recovery
Materials return to the supply chain as plastic pellets, remanufactured underlay, or renewable fuel. Zero waste to landfill from every single load.
Material Flow
Where Every Material Goes.
Once delivered to our Edmonton facility, each material is sorted and dispatched to the appropriate specialist partner — every stream tracked, every tonne accounted for.
Material Categories
Four Categories. Four Downstream Routes.
Every incoming load is divided into one of four material streams. Each has a dedicated process and specialist downstream partner to ensure maximum recovery.
Underlay
Baled and sent to Ball & Young, who remanufacture it into high-quality new underlay products — a genuine closed loop.
→ Ball & Young
PP Carpet
Dry polypropylene tufted carpet baled and sent to Innovate Recycle, converted into plastic pellets for injection moulding.
Secondary Fuel
→ Innovate Recycle
Shredded to 40mm and baled for export as SRF — Solid Recovered Fuel, an alternative to fossil fuels in industrial energy production.
→ Exported as SRF
Exhibition Carpet
Classified and directed to the most appropriate process based on fibre type, condition, and composition.
